Growing up in Ibadan, Nigeria, West Africa, Bosede had always loved to sing and compose songs. Her musical career started around the age of 8 years, performing in the local Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) churches and singing with her siblings in support of their father’s pastoral ministry. In High school, Bosede directed the school choir and led out in different cultural groups. She was the Senior Girl for the 1982 set at Adventist Grammar School, Ede, Nigeria. Bosede was a member of the very popular Shiloh Echoers in Nigeria in the 80s. She also performed with the Ayoro Voices at several TV stations in the old western Nigeria. Bosede is from a musically-talented family. She is married to Dr. Olusegun Apata. They are blessed with 4 children (3 girls and 1 boy) and five grandchildren. Bosede’s children released their first CD (The Apatas) in 2010.
By profession, Bosede is a board-certified Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is very determined and goal oriented. She is loving and caring to all. She has a special place in her heart for the mentally and emotionally challenged, elderly and terminally ill. A passion she demonstrated through her work in palliative/hospice care and behavioral health units.
Bosede is a very talented song-writer/composer. Her debut CD (Morayo), produced by Femi Ogunrombi and Chinedu Egbulefu (Gboof), was released in December, 2013, and the second one (Ore Oluwa) in May, 2016. The Lord has blessed her with many more, to which she is very grateful. They are available on YouTube. Bosede is an author; she has written few books and they are available on Amazon.
Her hobbies include: praying, reading, cooking, counseling, singing, song-composing, writing, braiding, looking good (LOL), among others...
I cannot imagine a day without music . . . that will be a very gloomy day. Music brings life, joy, connects you with loved ones and most importantly, with God. Music bouys my spirit.
